Leopard Eyes

This was a study in how to do short-haired cats. I just picked the leopard from a combination of images I found online and adapted the painting to what I wanted. 16 x 20″ oils on canvas.

These have got to be the most-loved cats I’ve ever met! A friend and I traded a stunning handmade quilt for this rather large painting of her three cats. 14″ x 24″ oil on canvas.

I’m sorry to say the little guy in the middle died shortly after the painting was complete, but I’m glad that he’s been immortalized 🙂

I have a website!

Birds, Cats, Dogs, Horses, Reptiles, Small Furry Creatures

At long last, and after much encouragement from my dear husband, family and friends, I now have an actual website with painting lessons for sale! I’m very excited to be able to offer them and hope that you will find some enjoyment in learning to paint animals.

Visit my website at http://www.magpiefineart.com

I’m offering printed painting lessons, which include step by step instructions, line drawings to transfer to your surface of choice, and a ton of photos so you can see how I worked through each step!

Or, if you are more interested in detail, you can get the DVD version of the lesson (printable PDF instructions are on the DVD if you would like to print them yourself) Hope you enjoy! Please pass this around to anyone you know might be interested!
